A multidirectional hillshade was then produced using this mosaic, with a Z factor of 2 and second traditional hillshade with a Z factor of 5. Both were clipped using a polygon derived from the Antarctic Digital Database high resolution coastline polygon dataset (v7.11). The multidirectional hillshade was then overlaid on the traditional hillshade, and given a transparency of 30%. Final contrast enhancements were applied to ensure the two layers in combination achieved the desired effect. The two hillshades were shared as a single tile layer to ArcGIS Online.
